The carpet was made by the Kurdish people in the northwest of ancient Persia. The geometric pattern is typical of nomadic tribes and the villagers of the Orient. After shearing, the wool is divided into different grades, cleaned, washed and further processed by hand. Hand knotting is a craftsmanship that has been handed down over many generations.
